The anatomy of a digital marketing funnel. There are several variations of digital marketing funnels, but the one I like most has three fundamental stages: Top of the funnel (TOFU ) Middle of the funnel (MOFU ) Bottom of the funnel (BOFU ) Here’s a quick breakdown of each: 1. Top of the funnel This is the stage where your potential customers aren’t aware of your product or service, and your marketing efforts are all about introducing your company to as many people as possible. This can be done in several ways; blog posts on topics your target customers may search, sponsored ads, and podcast appearances are all fantastic ways to increase brand awareness. Your main goal in the TOFU stage should be to educate, inspire, and entertain your audience. 2. Middle of the funnel The middle of the funnel is where your target audience moves from having an awareness about your brand to showing an interest in it. They’ll have your webpage open because you managed to impress them at the top of the funnel. Your job in the MOFU stage is to give enough value that your audience is willing to sign up for your newsletter. Once you get their emails, send them ebooks, case studies, and other tailored resources that showcase the benefits you can provide. This raises a target customer’s interest in your business, which is key to preparing them for the next stage of a digital marketing funnel. 3. Bottom of the funnel The bottom of the funnel is where your potential customers are ready to spend money on your offerings. Your role here is to present your product or service in a way that inspires your audience to make a purchase. Things like limited-time specials and success stories can give prospective clients enough confidence to pull the trigger. When they do, you’ll get a sales conversion. In most instances, the overall success of a digital marketing funnel is determined by the number of conversions it was able to generate. I show here a 4 phase funnel, but phase 4 isn't really a phase in the funnel, more like a post sale/customer support related.

I made a thing.
Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It's quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that's where you will find success. People who succeed have momentum. The more they succeed, the more they want to succeed, and the more they find a way to succeed. Similarly, when someone is failing, the tendency is to get on a downward spiral that can even become a self-fulfilling prophecy. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won't. It's whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere.
Businesses make an average of $2 in income for every $1 they spend in AdWords. It takes some time and testing phase, but the numbers don’t lie. Bring your business to Google AdWords and scale up.
A lot of businesses fail after 30-90 days due to the lack of knowledge of what works, what needs to be done and HOW should it be done. Someone who's good in sales will be able to promote their product face-to-face but that doesn't necessarely means he/she will be able to do the same online. Practices to do ecommerce/saas (Software as a service )/coaching and so on, are all quite differently promoted online. Understanding the latest trends and practices of such promotions is highly important. You can either learn on your own, through classes or books on the subject... or you can outsource what you do not understand, as long as you had planned to have quite a bit of budget on the side to run your business. Fees related to a new business online are pretty basic: Hosting and Domain for the year (100$ give or take depending on the quality of the hosting ) Time to design and optimize your website (if paying someone, expect +- 1000$ for a generic website to collect leads and a bit more if you're gonna add a bunch of products and expect online secure transactions etc ) - Then again, those numbers are just thrown out there due to being able to find some dude on Fiverr that will make you a website for 100$.. you'll also get a site worth 100 bucks. Advertising your brand through various avenues: social media ads, ads on google, programmatic advertising are all options to look into. Physical ads such as flyers and business cards also enter into the budget to launch. Optimizing your website to be found organically (SEO / Search Engine Optimization ) can be done on your own, but unless you know exactly what you are doing, I strongly suggest hiring someone to get the right results as it is the best source of leads/contacts due to the direct intent to buy/book when people do direct searches on Google/Bing/Yahoo. This can go from a few hundreds a month to thousands depending on the industry and the amount of keywords to rank for above the competition. Keep in mind that the first months will not usually be very profitable unless you really hit gold with your first ads, because SEO takes a few months to kick in. Hope this helped, feel free to comment and ask questions! Thanks
