Happy Monday! Today is also Be a Millionaire Day! I know it’s cliche to say “you can make so much money by saving it,” but that’s true! You also make money by properly investing it in the right care for your things. All it takes is one very large and bad claim to completely bankrupt your family—unless you have the right agent and company. 😉 Having the right agent means your agent is your trusted advisor, and are constantly trying to recommend to you the best and safest coverages. They want you protected so that your family won’t be hurt from a claim gone wrong. The right company will give you the proper resources in order to avoid financial disaster. Be a millionaire by saving money and investing wisely. Sit with your agent today and get your things properly covered while also meeting with a financial advisor to figure how to better handle your money and make more of it.
Hey y’all! Yesterday was the National Day of Families and I wanted to take a second to not necessarily TELL you why life insurance is so important, but to SHOW you. Check out my blog to read personal stories about families that were affected negatively after losing a loved one with no life insurance or very little insurance. ❤️
Hey y’all! People tend to tell you to get insurance. They tell you what you need to get, where to go, who to talk to, but they never tell you what you need to have or what exactly to do. Wouldn’t it be so nice to have that? Like an instruction manual on what to do when it comes to insurance? Say. No. More. Check out my blog post on insurance for dummies, where you can learn all about the right stuff to do. You can thank me later 🧞♀️
Hey y’all! Happy Friday! I know we’re all very eager to get this weekend started and celebrate our darling mothers. Before we do that, I’d like to introduce my four-part blog series on hurricanes. Hurricane season begins next month, and after last year’s storm, I want to make sure you and your loved ones are prepared. Check out my blog that kicks off the series and introduces the beasts that are hurricanes.
Hey y’all! Guess what today is? National Tourist Appreciation Day! I know we all LOVE tourists 😂 but we have to remember they're human too! And if it wasn't for the tourist coming to visit our beautiful area, there wouldn't be any funds to help us keep it up! So, thank you, tourists for helping our area be better and for wanting to visit us! While you're down here, think about insuring your beautiful beach homes and boats, especially while you're away. 🦋
I hope you’ve had a great weekend! It’s now time to get back to work for the next few days. But first, let’s talk about rate increases! Rate increases are probably one of the most disliked things about insurance. Nothing changed with you or your policy, so why should your rate change? And some people take it as a punishment meant for others! When in reality, neither of these are the case. Rate increases are based on what losses occurred that rating year and the one before that. The increase is determined on how much was paid out on insurance claims throughout the whole year across the board. I’m going to be covering more about rate increases in this today’s blog! Check below to read all about it. 🦋
Hey y’all! Today is National Administrative Professionals Day and I want to make a shout out to my business partner, Ashley Jacks! If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have ever pursued this part of my career and for that I am so grateful. She strives every day to be the best she can be at her SEVERAL jobs and I think that’s amazing. She’s helped push me to keep this going and I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t reach out to her when I did. She’s definitely an important part of what I do! So, appreciate your people! Especially those that help with your paperwork, calls, and handle your customers because customer service is NOT an easy job. So send your people flowers and lunch! They need it. 😊🦋
Hey y’all! Yesterday was Earth Day! 🌍 And on top of making sure you are properly covered and taken care of, we should do that for our planet too! We only have on earth and it’s our home, and we need to treat it as such. 😊 So don’t litter, plant a tree, and enjoy this pretty day!! 🦋
Hey y’all! It’s Easter weekend, and I’m so excited to spend this weekend surrounded by my friends and family. I wanted to take the time to shed some light on motorcycle/scooter insurance (we'll call it “bike” insurance ) because it’s such a small thing no one thinks about until they need it. However, it is required to have insurance on a scooter in NC! Like the boat and auto policies, bike insurance covers a lot of the same things with some extra coverage options! Like the boat insurance, it offers accessory coverage and emergency services for when you're out and something happens. It covers any additional accessories you've added to the bike, as long as they're disclosed to the insurance company and your agent! Always provide receipts! Similar to the auto and boat policies, the bike policy covers liability and full coverage in the event of an accident. The only thing about these three similar policies is that, despite covering the same things, is that they have to be their own separate policy! But beyond that, they're a lot alike. 😊 So, insure your toys and hit the road! It's time to relax and unwind. Have a great Easter weekend! 🐰
Hey y’all! I hope you’re having a beautiful Wednesday! The sun is shining and the birds are chirping. The water looks breathtaking! Speaking of water, let’s talk boat 🚣♀️ insurance! Insuring a boat is A LOT like insuring a car, except for a few term changes and extra coverage options. You’ll see the term “hull” a lot in boat insurance, but that’s just referring to the main body of the ship. You can also have emergency service coverage for when you’re out on the water and any accessories within or added to the boat. Besides those few differences, boat and car insurance tend to mirror one another. It’s very important to keep your boat insured because no one knows what can happen, especially when you’re miles out on the ocean! 🌊 So on this pretty day, before you take your boat out, call me and I’ll make sure it gets insured 😊 Have a great day! 🦋
Hey y’all! It’s finally the weekend, and what better time to talk about life insurance? 😊 Life insurance is such an important policy to have for yourself and for your family. There’s tons of different policies offered that’ll best fit you, your family, your lifestyle, and your future. It gives you that peace of mind that no matter what happens, everything will be okay! During your grieving, you don’t want to have to deal with the financial burden of losing a loved one. Your main focus should be on yourself and your family. Life insurance is here to take care of the financial aspect of the loss, giving you and your loved ones time to grieve. There’s also policies that are used to help you plan your future and retirement better! So contact me today, and we’ll set you up an appointment to talk about life insurance and help you better prepare for your future. 💫 I’m available 24/7 through social media and email! My email is brittaniesfickinsurance @gmail com and I’m available by phone during Monday through Friday office hours of 8:30-5:30 at 252-222-4783. Thank you! 🦋
Hey y’all! The sun is shining, the wind is blowing like mad, the temperature is nice and high, but I want to talk to you about umbrellas ☔️. No, I’m not talking about what covers your head during a thunderstorm. 😉 I’m talking about the insurance policy! Umbrellas in insurance are a lot like real life umbrellas because they keep you covered and out of storms! An umbrella policy is an extended liability policy for both your house and cars. This policy also protects you if you were to ever be sued! It offers not only extended liability, but personal injury coverage too! Which is slander, defamation, etc. anything that has to do with verbal attacks against someone. It’s highly recommended to have one of these, especially when you work in a field that involves acts of good faith and constantly working with other people. The only kicker, is that you have to increased limits on your policy! So, contact me today and I’ll review your coverages and tell you how an umbrella will benefit you AND your family! Enjoy your day! 🦋
I hope y’all are having a great Thursday! Yesterday was National Walking Day and I wanted to take a moment to talk about pedestrians! Being a pedestrian can be very nerve-wracking. You’re on a small slab of concrete with large chunks of metal zooming past you at 40 MPH. It’s scary! And when you see a pedestrian while you’re driving, you can sense their fear and you can’t help but be nervous driving past them! Road safety is very important for both drivers and pedestrians. Did you know that if you were to accidentally run into a pedestrian, they can borrow from either your insurance OR their own for medical payments? However, the car’s bodily injury liability will cover the pedestrian’s medical bills because the driver is always at fault, unless they can prove the pedestrian was hit on purpose. In order to avoid this danger, here are a few simple tips: 1. Be aware of your surroundings, in or out of the car. 2. Stay alert, anything can change in a matter of milliseconds. 3. When there are people walking, drive slowly and as far from them as you possibly can. Obviously, traffic near sidewalks makes it hard, but always drive slowly and cautiously! For those walking, keep as far from the vehicles as possible and be cautious! I hope y’all have an even better Friday and weekend! I’m available all month to review your auto coverages with you to make sure you are properly covered for these, or any other, incidents! Thank you! 🦋
Hey y’all! Happy April AND Happy April Fool’s Day! I hope all your jokes are harmless, yet enjoyable. Just wanted to take a minute to let y’all know that I’m available all week and all month for reviewing your insurance and quoting new and existing policies! Check out my latest blog about house insurance! And just all in all, have fun today. 🦋 Link to my blog in my bio!
Hey y’all! It’s finally Friday and National Goof Off Day! How many monkeys are jumping on your bed? How many fell off and bumped their head? 🐵🙈🙉🙊🐒 Hopefully none, but did you know that if someone fell or injured themselves in your house—on accident—they can go against your house or renter’s insurance? If you’re not insured, there’s a chance they could sue for you for not being insured! You’re responsible for everything that goes on in your house, so it’s very important you’re not only insured, but properly covered. It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt. While you should always work to keep your home safe, we are all human and we like to have fun! Message me today to review your coverage. We can make sure you’re good to go whenever little monkeys are jumping on the bed with their little monkey friends! 🦋
Hey y’all! I’m back from vacation and better than ever. It’s the first day of spring (bundle up before going outside though )! Before I left for my trip, I made sure my car was good for the 10-hour drive to Tennessee. During our stops, I checked my tires and electronic dashboard to make everything stayed good to go. Out of state driving is terrifying, especially because I’ve never driven my car out of state before! It was trip full of firsts. Read more about my trip and what I did to make sure we were covered via the link in my bio! Happy spring! 🦋
Hey y’all! Today is #NationalK9VeteransDay! And I just wanted to take a moment to thank all the pups that help our community and assist our law enforcement! If you’re anything like me, pets are a huge part of my life. I have a little doggy at home named Arkham and he’s like a child to me. With that, I’ve made sure he is also properly insured. I know that sounds crazy! Insuring your pet? What? That’s a waste of money, right? No! It’s very important. Pet insurance covers your vet costs and any extra upkeep you need to keep your fur baby happy. It’s a reimbursement policy, and it’s so beneficial to be able to have any help you can because pets can get very expensive! Our little fur children are just as human as you make them and they deserve the proper care we receive. Pet parents deserve the peace of mind that their baby will also be taken care of. So honor the K-9s and insure your pets! And most importantly, enjoy this beautiful day! 🌞🦋
Hey y’all! It was SO nice to have a bright, sunny day with some warm weather after what seemed like days of rain! Even though it was gorgeous outside, there were still a LOT of wet roads. Sometimes these (almost ) spring showers tend to bring with them accidents caused by slick roads. While we’re out driving, we tend to forget we’re sharing the road with other people. While we should stay cautious for ourselves, we also have to be cautious for the other drivers on the road. Everyone has their lives around them, and their loss is just as great as yours. I’ve learned a few things that have saved me from a close call or two, and I’d like to share them with you: 1. Slow down if there’s a lot of water on the roads. This decreases your risk of hydroplaning or otherwise losing control of your vehicle. 2. Turn off cruise control on wet roads. By taking back control of your accelerator, you can adjust your speed more safely because your car isn’t trying to maintain a steady speed. This can also help decrease your risk of hydroplaning. 3. Leave more space between your car and the one in front of you. By giving yourself more reaction time, you have a decreased risk of sliding on wet roads and a higher chance of stopping safely. 4. Turn your headlights on. Many states have laws in place that require your headlights to be on if your windshield wipers are going. This can also help increase your chance of being seen by other vehicles on the road with you. We’re all trying to go somewhere when out driving. Practice safe driving when encountering adverse weather conditions to keep you, your loved ones, and everyone around you safe.
Hey y’all! Happy Friday and Happy International Women’s Day! Though I’m so happy to see all of us honoring all of the incredible women both in our lives and those who came before us on this day, we should do that every day. I wanted to take some time from my insurance posting and really just honor this day. I’ve been very blessed to be surrounded by so many powerful and inspirational women. I work for a retired police chief and she’s worked hard for our community for years. My business partner and close friend is so knowledgeable and strong that she really pushes me to be who I want to be. My nana, may she Rest In Peace, had a heart of gold and never let anyone feel bad about who they are. These women, and so many others, have truly inspired me to work hard toward the goals I’ve set for myself. We are born and bred from generations of strength, beauty, and power. We undergo so much physically and mentally; we are the real life versions of superheroes. Here’s to all the queens! May we always fix each other’s crowns. 👮♀️👷🏻♀️💂🏼♀️🕵🏽♀️👩🏾⚕️👩🏿🌾👩🍳👩🏻🎓👩🏼🏫👩🏽🏭👩🏽💼👩🏾🔧👩🏿🔬👩🎨👩🏻🚒👩🏼✈️👩🏽🚀👩🏾⚖️👸👸🏻👸🏼👸🏽👸🏾👸🏿
Hey y’all! I just wanted to wish a happy birthday to all the March babies, including myself in a few weeks! March is such a beautiful month to me and I’ve never met someone born in March that I didn’t love dearly. I actually have about 4 family members that are born in March! My family is everything to me. The most important thing in this universe is family and the love you carry for them. All you ever want in life is for your family to be okay. Life insurance is a very small price to pay to give yourself peace of mind in the event of anything happening to you or a family member. Death is the only thing we can’t time and we can’t predict. It has no age limits. No one should be left worrying about something as small as money when they’re going through a loss. When you’re celebrating a birthday or just in general thinking of your family, think of life insurance. Think of the peace of mind it will give you to know everyone will be okay. Feel free to message me about any questions you may have on life insurance or the products Allstate offers! And once again, happy birthday, may every year be better than the next! 🎈🎁
