Under The Sea... 🧜🏽♀️👼🏾 Sunday Sweetness
This week’s #WCW is Promise Sawyers, a 10 year old boss who won the internet’s heart when sharing her thoughts on hair shaming. Promise rocked her afro to school loud and proud, despite being made fun of by classmates for wearing her natural hair the day before. She is encouraging all of us babies, and even adults, to be confident with our natural look and the skin we’re in! Her video has gone viral and prompted thousands of uplifting and inspiring reactions since. You are such an inspiring young voice in this natural hair movement and I am loving it! I hope to befriend you one day — you rock!!

This week my #WCW is teen water warrior, @autumn peltier… and she is taking the world by storm. The reason I call her a water warrior, is because she actually has been fighting for water rights since she was 8 years old. Autumn is from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory on Manitoulin Island, the world’s largest freshwater island. She learned at a young age that while her community never faced an issue with clean drinking water, many other places in the world had the opposite problem. This started her journey of speaking up and spreading awareness for water protection and conservation. Now 14 years old, Autumn has traveled internationally to advocate for water rights, spoken at over 200 events before leaders, and was recently appointed the new Anishinabek Nation Chief Water Commissioner. Thank you for being an advocate for change and ensuring that this world will be a better place when babies like myself grow up!
Claim your current mood 1,2,3,4 👼🏾
Congratulations. You played yourself. (In my @djkhaled voice )

This week’s #WCW is an amazing 16-year-old named Sonika Menon. Year after year, Sonika and her family made it a tradition to throw great birthday parties. After her 15th birthday, she learned there were other children in the Chicago area who didn’t receive the same, and she wanted to help. With the help of her brother and cousins, Sonika formed The @BirthdayGiving Program, a nonprofit that brings birthday parties to kids and families in need. As a baby who loves a good birthday party and a special cause, I am so inspired by Sonika’s efforts to help kids like us on their big day. Keep up the great work, Sonika!
18 years old?!?!?!?! I remember when you were just 17!! Your glow up brother @chief_dada233 has been incredible to witness these 10 months. Bless Up! 👼🏾

This week’s #wcw is an extraordinary girl named Destiny Strickland. Destiny was born with amniotic band syndrome, a medical condition where amnion bands affect the development of babies. In Destiny’s case, this led to severe bilateral facial clefting, cleft lip and palate, the absence of her left eye and more. She is now 11 years old and has undergone 31 surgeries. Growing up she was afraid of what the public would think of her and slowly realized she could not hide from the world any longer. Destiny wants the world to know that everyone is different in their own way. She and her grandmother started a campaign called “Different is Beautiful” and a YouTube channel where she hopes to “encourage people who are different not to hide what they have different.” It means a lot to me to share Destiny’s journey and how she is uplifting not only babies like me but every person who needs to hear these important words. You have such a big heart Destiny and I love reading your story and truly growing from it. Thank you!

This week’s #WCW is Instagram star and style icon Coco, short for Coco Pink Princess @coco_pinkprincess She is the ultimate trendsetter and leading the fashion game for us babies. Already at the age of 7 years old, she has styled and accessorized herself for an @elleusa shoot and was completely in charge of her own image and outfit. Nothing says cool kid summer like wearing Gucci down to the socks, and I’m loving it! Once I’m old enough to style myself I will definitely be pulling inspo from your wardrobe! @coco_pinkprincess
