To be honest, I was actually SO nervous about my Dubai Active bootcamp. In the weeks leading up to it I felt as though people would be wondering if I can actually do everything I say I can do. The incredible thing was that when it came time to start, I felt nothing but encouragement from you ladies - there was SO much excitement in the room and you made any nerves I had completely disappear. LOL @leahitsines , is this actually us? 😂 Seriously, even though we facetime 100 times a day I am actually missing my sister, my family, @tobi_pearce and Arna SO much. If I could take my entire family with me when I travel, I honestly would. When I'm home, I visit Yiayia and Papou in mornings and we eat dinner as a family every night, so I get REALLY home sick for this while I'm away. But guess what...? I am coming HOME. YUUSSS!! I cannot believe what an amazing experience that was!!Dubai Active Show BOOTCAMP is something I will always remember! It was my FIRST bootcamp since becoming pregnant and having Arna and everyone made me feel SO welcome the second I stepped on to the stage. I LOVE this photo of my Yiayia and Arna!! (My dads mum ) 😍 @tobi_pearce and Arna have now officially landed back in Adelaide and I already miss them SO much. It's only a few days but it will actually be the longest I've been away from Arna since she was born. It's hard to be away from her but I know she is in the BEST hands. I can tell you now my family are 100% looking forward to getting their cuddle quota in before I come back and steal her away hahaha (yes I'm looking at you @leahitsines ). 😂
It was SO amazing to meet all the incredible women at Dubai Active!!! Hearing your stories and finding out more about your health and fitness journeys is always so inspiring! One of the reasons I started the #BBGcommunity was so that everyone would feel the support I’ve always had from my family. I want ALL women to feel that they always have someone to talk to, that there is someone who they can share their story with or go to if they need support. It might sound cheesy, but I want the BBG Community to be a place where women feel safe and where we can lift each other up, no matter where we are in life - I feel so privileged to be a part of your lives! 🙌🙌🙌
WARMUP TIME!!! This is the kind of high energy warm-up I’ll do just before my BOOTCAMP so I am ready to @SWEAT . I know some people skip warm-ups but they’re actually SO important before a workout so your body is ready to move and it reduces the chance of injury. I’ll be listening to my workout playlist to get me in the zone - LET'S DO THIS! 😅
I CANNOT believe I'm doing my first bootcamp in TWO years today!! If you had told me 7 months ago I'd be doing a bootcamp, I would never have believed it because I felt like I was beginning again with my fitness. Having a baby was the most amazing experience of my entire life, but emotionally and mentally it was SO hard. I was scared and frustrated so many times on my postpartum journey. I was frustrated because I just felt like there was nothing out there — no fitness programs for women in my situation — and I realised there was a need. I wanted to build women up; build their strength and confidence so they’re able to do BBG. Now, I’m SO proud of the journey I can take women through with our new programs, and I’m so grateful I’ve been able to share more of my personal experience with the #BBGcommunity . Thank you to everyone who has sent me messages or commented about #BBGBeginner and #PostPregnancy , it means SO much to me! I still have a few surprises coming up in my IGTV series, Begin Again. “I want women to feel like they can do anything.” Looking back on my postpartum journey, it’s hard to believe how far I’ve come. I didn’t want to share how I was feeling at the time — I was scared and frustrated — but I have learnt SO much from the experience. I’m happy to acknowledge that experience now, and I’m actually SO proud of the progress I’ve made from those low points. What’s important is that I now know exactly what it feels like to feel weak. I know what it feels like to want someone to show you exercises that are going to help you feel better. It’s only through gaining this knowledge that I was able to create BBG Beginner and Post-Pregnancy. I never expected to be a beginner with fitness, but I’m now so grateful because it gave me the motivation to help women with these new programs, so that they feel like they can do anything. It's my goal to make everyone in the #BBGcommunity feel supported — because we’re in this together! 💪🏼💞
The last 6 months have honestly been SO full of surprises for me. After having Arna, I never expected that I would feel embarrassed or uncoordinated, but that’s exactly what happened. I was a beginner with fitness for the first time in my life. It was so hard to go through that experience, but it taught me SO much. I’ve realised that WE ALL begin somewhere, but if you’re consistent and put in the work, you can achieve ANYTHING! 💪🏼

There are so many amazing places in the world!! Dubai just makes me want to travel all over the Middle East and explore more! I am so grateful to have had my family here with me on this 4 week trip away! Arna and Tobi are actually on their way home today while I stay a few days to do my Dubai Bootcamp!! I am so nervous because this is my first bootcamp of 2019 and also since I’ve been pregnant! I have worked so hard to be here today and I’m SO proud of everything leading up to Friday and Saturday! I am obviously, as any mum would be, super nervous and upset because I haven’t been away from Arna for longer than 24 hours so this is going to be a challenge but I know she’s got at least 12 people waiting for her at the airport ready to squish her and give her 10000000 kisses hahaha. I actually don’t even think my family cares that they have not seen me in 4 weeks. All they care about is “when is Arna coming back, what time do they land, what can I do for her when she gets back, can we all sleep over and cuddle her” hahaha😂👌Thankyou to everyone for your amazing support this year!! One thing I have learnt on my postpartum journey is that PROGRESS means so many different things. It is NOT just about physical changes - pregnancy, birth and post-pregnancy is a huge emotional journey too, and so many of the changes are ones you CAN’T actually see. Your progress might be finding time in your week just for YOU ( #BBGmums you know how hard this is! ). It might be the pride you feel after you complete your first full workout. It could be facing your setbacks and embracing them, knowing that you need more time. UPPER BODY RECOVERY Ladies, recovery workouts are SO important! They help keep your muscles limber and can help alleviate any soreness (which I am definitely going need after my bootcamp in a few days ). 😂All you need for this session is a foam roller. ✅ Traps (back ) - 30 seconds ✅ Lats (sides ) - 60 seconds (30 each side ) ✅ Cat Cow - 10 reps ✅ Downward Dog - 30 seconds ✅ Lats (standing, feet crossed ) - 60 seconds (30 each side ) ✅ Triceps - 60 seconds (30 each side ) ✅ Pecs (standing ) - 30 seconds Complete each exercise once through and you’re done! PS. You might notice that my back is red from foam rolling my traps - this is because I’ve increased the blood flow to this area while foam rolling these muscles which were quite sore! We had the MOST amazing night!!! Dubai has always been one of my favourite places, but last night @tobi_pearce had the BEST ever experience for us dining in the desert - words can't even describe how good it was! The food was incredible, we had live music, a fire show and there were stars literally filling the entire sky. Tobi and I were celebrating the last year and becoming a family and it was a night I'll NEVER forget. Also, I usually hate being around that much sand but this was seriously SO incredible I didn't even mind that I had sand in my shoes at the end of the night! 😂
"Am I drinking enough water?" This is a question I get a lot from the #BBGcommunity !!! One of THE fundamentals of fitness is HYDRATION. It’s so important to make sure you’re getting enough water for your body to function properly day-to-day AND when you’re working out. It’s actually not just about drinking water during exercise, you need to drink water before and after exercise too.🚰So if you’re not feeling your best, reconsider how much water you’re drinking, a simple way to calculate how much water you need is to divide your bodyweight (in pounds ) in half, and that number is how much water, in fluid ounces, you should be drinking! If it’s hot or you’re exercising a lot you’ll need to up your fluid intake. I have been training hard to get ready for my bootcamp while here in Dubai, so I have been drinking water like it's going out of style hahaha. I have to re-fill my water bottle every five seconds and @tobi_pearce actually thinks I'm crazy. 😂
