  It was a bit quiet around my instagram account...sorry for that but sometimes I have the feeling that only posting to post something is pretty annoying. Sometimes there is not so much interesting things going on, and again and again pics of the archive or training pics are also a bit difficult to post. And sometimes it’s simply family time. In the last weeks it was a good mixture of these reasons. But it seems that my motivation for posting is raising a bit so I will start with something new and old 🤣...after my ascent of „Prinzip Hoffnung“ (8b/+, E9/10 ) I had this bacterial infection in the ellbow and wasn’t able to shoot it but now a Magazin asked if we wanna go shooting for them and this is what we did with @rainer_eder 🙏. To be honest it felt more sketchy than the ascent, I didn’t have the right gear (offsets, micros... ) and to top it I didn’t remember the moves 🤷‍♂️😬🙈.   Never lose the kid in you 😊🖐. Playing around on my hometurf ridge while guiding @everchanginghorizon & @jess .wandering on the Altenalptürme. When Quin asked me to stand up for a photo, I thought well it’s not the way to climb the ridge and somehow nonsense, but maybe it’s fun. So I stood up and immediately got this feeling of a deep dive in a yoga session...where is the difference between standing on a 10cm platform with 400m air below or on flat ground? There is no difference it’s just in our mind.   Two memorable days in the books. Guiding the Wettersteingrat from Meilerhütte to Obere Wetterspitze was pretty challenging, not often climbed, super long, tower after tower, loose rock and no fixed protection. But as mountaineering and guiding is about trust we had an incredible day there 🤙⛰. P.S.: the bivy was just a wish of my clients as they never slept outside.   „Biancograt“ - Piz Bernina 4049m. One of the biggest classics in the alps. With perfect conditions being still fresh at 10 o’clock at the Marco e Rosa Hut with no thunderstorms forecasted in the afternoon we decided to go for the Piz Palü traverse as well, to get a good coffee and cake in the Diavolezza. Quite a ride above the Bernina mountains and in the end we felt a bit our legs...😇🤷‍♂️.   "Wetter Stein Grat" - Trailer 🖖. I dreamed about 5 years of enchaining the whole ridgeline of the Wetterstein mountains. From valley to valley it's an incredible journey with more than 30 summits, about 7000 verticals and 70km of distance. The famous ridges like "Jubiläumsgrat", "Blassengrat", "Teufelsgrat" and "Wettersteingrat" are just a small piece of the whole connected ridge. With years of experience in ultradistance adventures and a super hard preparation, I gambled that it is possible to do it in 30-35hrs nonstop. But then in the evening after 20hrs of climbing an unpredictable thunderstrom forced us to bivy and shiffer without gear in a small cave for about 7hrs. It was hard to start again with cramping cold muscles but it didn't stop us to finish this dream. After 40hrs we touched down on the valley floor on the other side of the mountains. I'm super happy and thankful to all the people supporting me on this project. @davidbruder & @alex_scherl for joing parts of the way. @klausisele for beeing there and @damianberner for the french fries 😅. And for sure the whole @whiteroomproductions crew for realizing this logistical task filming on the go without slowing me down. The film will celebrate its official premiere at the @filmfeststanton Further on it will be screened at Bergfilm Festival Tegernsee , Bergsichten - Berg+Outdoor Filmfestival Dresden at the @bofffilm and hopefully much more. A longer version will be on @Servus tv beginning of next year.   Barre des Écrins 4102m 😍🌄.   „Speed Intégrale“ ⭐️💯. I really don’t know what to say. It’s already some days ago. The satisfying feeling of climbing a 9a is unlikely already gone 😅🤷‍♂️. And I‘m back in running mode and trying to get more strong in steeper climbing terrain...BUT the memories will last for a while I guess. It was a pretty cool process...after a tough training Winter in Vorarlberg with the crew, Some trips to Ticino for bouldering I felt pretty good and climbed „Prinzip Hoffnung“ after that we went to Voralpsee and I was just courios how difficult Speed might be. As I was able to do all the moves immediately. I decided to give it all for the next weeks. It was very motivating how fast I got stronger in it. Then there came the time of making real tries...probably the key person was @jacopolarcher (who has sent it pretty fast this spring ) he gave me a lot of confidence in saying again and again, keep going and trying you will do it. Sometimes I didn’t trust...but he was right 🤷‍♂️💪.   That’s a contrast to running 70k on a ridge no? I always wanted to go back shooting to “Prinzip Hoffnung“ 8b/+ (E9-10 ) but somehow after the ellbow injury I was a bit lazy and wanted to concentrate on sth new 🤷‍♂️😊. That’s why I share this raw video of the sent. A small insight, as I‘m one of the climbers who doesn’t like falling, also not in sport climbing (after 20+ years climbing I‘m still searching the reason why 🙈 ) this would probably be the worst route for me cause if you fall you make big whippers...but as I didn’t took a single fall on ‚Prinzip‘ it wasn’t a Problem 😅. I knew that sometimes you get the headgame if you fall and fall again at the same spot so I prepared myself on the toprope so well that I could give a super high chance to sent it on my first lead go. That worked out pretty well, on the first leadgo I placed the micronut in the crux wrong way round so I head to stop sit in and go down. And on the 2nd leadgo I climbed it. We were with @nadinewallner the first to climb it with a helmet...why? Why not...!   Thankful. “Hope for the best prepare for the worst“ - was the moto of my last years goal. To traverse the whole ridgeline of the Wetterstein massive in a nonstop go was a longtime goal. With the experiences of many nonstop 24+hrs ascents it seemed to be possible. But to achieve it was another thing. ~70km 7000 verticals from valley to valley, always chossy loose rock and exposed.
