Can I tell you, this little girl is strong- willed and persistent. I’ll say to her, “I said no, Emmie” and she’ll respond, “Well, I said yes.” 😳😤 . . Those qualities about her make me want to pull my hair out! While she drives me crazy at the moment, one day those qualities will serve her well. I want my daughter to fight for what she believes, say what’s on her mind, go after everything that’s on her heart even if she’s afraid. I want to raise my daughter to be a strong woman. . . As parents, let’s not let our children’s qualities that are undesirable at the moment be the ones we try to pray away or stifle. We have to teach them how to control their strengths and use them for good. Ask the Lord for patience and wisdom to know how to steward your children’s personalities, gifts, and talents.
I’m learning to become a bounce-back queen! . . Can I tell you, trying to create new habits can be difficult. One habit I’m trying to create is sleep and wake up at the same time. It takes discipline and time but just because I haven’t mastered it yet to say that’s a solid habit doesn’t mean I should throw it out the window. I used to do that with my goals. With fitness for instance, I would start for a week and then an obstacle would come up and I would miss it and say, “I’m such a failure!” Then completely quit. . . There’s no need for me to tell myself it’s one or the other, I either do it or I don’t. I can miss a few days of my habit and not be a “failure”. I’m finding the freedom to say, I’ll bounce back and start up again tomorrow!

As a mom, I enjoy watching my daughter. Sometimes I specially say or do things to see how my daughter will react to certain situations. By me watching her, I have an idea of where her mind is at, where her heart is at, and it helps me to gauge what I should be teaching her. . . I believe the Lord works in a similar way. I read this verse in Matthew and I’m wondering why would Jesus get upset and say, “O, you of little faith?” I can sympathize with Peter. He was doing something new that he thought was impossible and the conditions around him were scary. The winds were blowing uncontrollably. My knees would’ve been knocking if that was me. . . What I find interesting about this story is that the moment they got into the boat the winds died down. The Lord had control over the windy conditions the whole time and yet allowed it. God will call you to something and then test you. He will make the conditions hard, scary, and uncomfortable to watch how you react. He can gauge where your mind and heart is at. By your reaction He can see if you’re ready for your calling or need some more time of training and maturity. . . What’s one instance where the Lord placed you in an uncomfortable situation?
Growing up I was never the skinniest girl in the room. I wouldn’t say I was overweight because I was an active child. I couldn’t sit still and I still don’t but I was “gordita” (chubby ) like my grandma used to say. I rarely ever said no to food. I loved to eat and I still do. To this day I would still want to choose the plate of rice and beans over a salad. . My Puerto Rican roots introduced mostly starchy and fried foods to me and lots of sugar. Let’s just say, veggies were not a staple in my household unless you want to count canned corn or peas (btw those are considered carbs not veggies ). That’s kind of what Hispanic culture looks like when it comes to nutrition. Our food is delicious but it is not nutritious. . What changed for me? When I started gaining knowledge about food. I went through a nutrition program that taught me that food is information. When we eat healthy foods, we’re telling our bodies to wake up, move, build muscles, fight disease, grow and carry babies, even sleep. Most of our health problems stem from the foods we’re feeding our bodies. . November 4th I’ll be opening up the Inner Healing Camp. It’s a group where me and my clients will be going through this same nutrition program while learning what God has to say about food, eating, and our bodies. We’ll be finding mental and emotional healing from past experiences with food. I’m so excited to be going through this program in November and I welcome you to join us! If you’d like to know more about this group, drop a 🦃 below. Tag friends or family that can benefit from this group!
Wow how do you do it all?! . Most people are blown away when I tell them I’m a stay-at-home mom, business owner, and full-time student. The question I always get is, “How do you do it all?” The answer to that is 2 parts. . #1 Being able to do it all plus have my devotional time and workout time is a priority to me. We always make the time for what’s important to us. . #2 I started saying no more. No to tv, no to shopping, no to going out. I’m not saying I never do those things but I limit my time. I no longer binge watch Netflix or stroll the isles of Target. . A lesson I’m learning is that time is an un renewable resource. We can make money, lose money but when it comes to time, once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. . What’s one thing you can give up that will give you more free time?
A year ago I was a new momma and homebound. I had the privilege to stay at home with my daughter which meant I said goodbye to my career. But I knew that even if I was home for my daughter I needed something for myself. So I started to think about the possible opportunities I could have to work from home. . . As I started to think about some of my must haves, it always came down to one thing - control. I wanted control over my hours so I could say yes to my daughter when I wanted to. I wanted control over my income so no one could tell me how much I’m limited to. I wanted control over what Im allowed to say so I could have the freedom to share my faith. I found all of this in coaching and I’m so grateful that this is my reality. It’s more than I could’ve ever imagined. . . Maybe today you’re reading this and you’re longing to be able to stay home with your babies or the ability to set your own schedule so you can pick up and travel whenever you want. Coaching brings freedom and I want you to have that. I want you to have the control to make your career look exactly the way you want it to. . . This Thursday and Friday, my team will be having a look into coaching. If you’ve read this and something resonated with you, please come join us! Well be chatting about what a coach does, what it takes to build a lasting business, and where to begin. If you’d like to listen in and learn more, click on the link in my bio and fill out the form. I’m so excited for you! This is the beginning of so many possibilities!
Positive thinking creates energy. . I’m celebrating today my results from this new program I started a little over 2 months ago! Two years ago I was quick to give up on myself and not be able to achieve my goal of losing weight. But what’s changed? . Positivity. It might sound cliche or corny but it’s the truth. Old me was down on hope and feeling a like a failure. There was no way to pull myself out of that. It was only after I found fitness programs with trainers that taught me effective workouts while speaking positive words to me along with a community of women that supported and encouraged me I could see hope. The more positivity I was fed, the more energy I had for myself and to give. . I share that energy with other women who feel hopeless with their health and who feel like they’re not capable of improvement just like I did. If you feel that you need that positivity and guidance, drop a 🖐🏼 below and we can talk about your goals and see what next steps we can take about getting you to achieve them! . Why am I such a Jesus freak? Why can’t I stop talking about Him? Here’s why! . One day while I had my eyes closed praying, the Lord gave me a vision. I was walking up a dirt hill and I stopped right at the top. When I looked up I saw Jesus hanging on the cross. Once I saw Him, my perspective changed I started to look out of Jesus’ eyes down to myself and Jesus said, “I love you, Jazmin.” . Growing up I carried a lot of guilt and sadness. I also felt lost. I felt as if I didn’t have purpose. To have God speak to me that day and call me by my name changed me. God wasn’t this far off God but he knew me, he had always been there. He showed me that even though He truly knew me and every guilt and shame, He still chose to die on the cross for me. That moment gave me hope and released me from pain. I knew if He was with me, then I couldn’t be lost. . We were all made to have relationship with Him. When we don’t, there is this feeling of emptiness that can’t be described but it’s Him that’s missing. I found that missing piece and I have to share it with the world. I want you to know, Jesus knew your name while on the cross and He still knows it today. He loves you with an everlasting love.
One of my biggest mistakes was waiting to start. . At one time, when I wanted to make big changes in my life like working on my health, getting my finances together, I would tell myself I would wait until New Years to start exercising and setting goals. Then came January, I would make a half-hearted attempt to bring about positive change and then I would quit within the week. All my goals down the drain because I had set myself up for failure without even knowing it. . When it comes to creating a new lifestyle, it takes more than a specific time of year and wishful thinking. It takes intentionality, hard work, and dedication. If you’re ready to make a change, don’t put it off any longer. Don’t wait for New Years to start. Being successful in achieving your goals comes with mindset not a date on a calendar. Every morning you wake up is a fresh start, a new beginning. . January is around the corner. Is there any goals that you’re waiting until January to start?

“God would never have granted women a voice if He intended for them to remain silent.” — Lisa Bevere . . I’ve always been someone if need be I would stand up for myself and others but also someone who would rather retreat and bury my feelings if that meant confrontation. It might be hard to believe as I sit here and share with you what’s on my mind and heart on a daily basis but I’m a very private person. I actually don’t like talking about myself. It can be hard to bear my soul with those closest to me especially to hundreds of people I don’t really know. The fear of judgment and ridicule can be crippling sometimes but the moment I think about how my words, my story, and my life can impact others, the fear flees. . . The voice God granted to us women can change the world or the world of one person. Don’t be afraid to use it. It’s our gift. . . Head on over to my Insta Stories!
𝐵𝑒𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒𝒹, 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒽𝒶𝓋𝑒 𝓂𝑜𝓇𝑒 𝓉𝑜 𝑜𝒻𝒻𝑒𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓃 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒷𝑜𝒹𝓎. . I’m in the business of helping women improve their physical bodies and I love it! I love helping women feel good, strong, energetic but your body does not define you! . There’s so many voices telling us we have to look a certain way to be liked, to fit in, to feel loved, to be taken serious but I want to tell you something — you have way more to offer than your body. Your thoughts, your emotions, your personality, your voice is more important than being “pretty”, “sexy”, “beautiful”. . Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” If God hadn’t created our bodies yet, what exactly did He know? . My prayer for you today would be that you would come to know yourself and love yourself the way God does!
ℍ𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕪 𝟛𝕣𝕕 𝔹𝕚𝕣𝕥𝕙𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕥𝕠 𝕞𝕪 𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕥𝕝𝕖 𝕓𝕦𝕘! . Being in this season of life where all she wants to do is throw tantrums, run around like a nut, and touch everythingggg can get exhausting and frustrating and I could wish for this season to pass but I don’t. Time is flying and all I want to do is bottle every second of this along with her dance performances, baby kisses, and her whispering “Mama, I love you.” . Mamas, take it all in! The ups and downs are what make life and goodness those baby giggles make life so sweet!
Let yesterday be the last time! . . When we’re trying to quit a habit, the pleasure sensors in our brains tell us “do it again” or “one last time” to get that instant gratification. Most of the time we’ll do it again in hopes that if we do it one more time we’ll finally be satisfied enough to give up the habit but that is a lie. The more you do something that is bad for you, the more your body will get used to it and the more you’ll desire it. It’s a never-ending cycle. If that bad habit didn’t satisfy you yesterday, it won’t satisfy you today! . . So the next time you’re ready to message that person that keeps hurting you, binge eat everything in sight, drink or take in substances that are killing you remember the fact that those things will never satisfy you! Don’t tell yourself today one last time, tell yourself one step at a time. Today will be the first step to a healthier you!
Motherhood and loneliness can sometimes go hand in hand. You might be finding yourself in the middle of washing bottles or making lunch and asking yourself, “Is it always going to be like this? Am I always going to feel isolated in a lost island of crying babies and children arguing?” But I want to tell you, you’re not alone and you won’t forever feel that way! . . That feeling is tough and so I know I wanted to do something about it. I’m creating a group focusing solely on moms where we’ll be working out, swapping stories and advice, and even meeting up to create authentic friendships! If you’re over the fact that the only adult conversations you have anymore are with your dogs, then come join us! Drop a 🍼 below and I can send you details about the Strong Like A Mother Fitness Group!
A little recap to our date last weekend! . I challenge you to plan something for just you and your spouse this weekend! Have fun and get lost in the moment together! ❤️
I feel so much more confident since I’ve lost weight! . . Those were more words until my body started changing AGAIN! Our bodies are constantly changing especially if you’re a woman, with pregnancy, menstruation, and aging. I found myself gaining weight even after I became a fitness coach and I felt so ashamed. If I’m supposed to be this woman that other women look up to, I’m not supposed to be gaining weight and I’m supposed to have ripped abs and no body fat but that is UNREALISTIC! Women don’t look up to me because I look a certain way, but because I love myself no matter what I look like and I love others well. Women can look up to me because I encourage, support, and build them up! . . There’s nothing wrong with feeling better when we see progress for our hard work but our confidence shouldn’t come from our weight or any physical feature because it’s not a constant. That’s forever changing. When we celebrate our progress and help others throughout the journey, that’s when we’ll truly feel our best! . . Paul tells us in Philippians 3:3 to have no confidence in the flesh but to rejoice in Christ. We can rejoice in Him because His Word stands forever and we can trust in Him. Christ is the only constant in our lives so let’s find our confidence in Him and Him alone!
One reason why I like working out from home is, there’s no guys around (maybe except my husband lol )! . I don’t know about you but when I used to go to the gym, I used to feel super uncomfortable by the guys. I felt like either they were watching me or judging me. I felt awkward to try new moves or use any weights or machines in front of them. . Now I can try new moves, workout in my pjs if I want to, and even let loose and start dancing if I’m feeling the music which mostly likely I am! 🤪 . Is there anything that makes you feel awkward or uncomfortable by at the gym?
“Jazmin, God will never ask you to leap but to take a step.” -Wise man . As I was sharing a dream that God is putting on my heart, tears began to fill my eyes because it’s scary and seems almost impossible but this wise man told me not to look at the big picture but to take the first steps towards the big picture. . How many times do we stand in front of our mountains of life and look up. The problem with looking up is that our minds will tell us it’s impossible, our minds will tell our bodies it’s to difficult, to spare us from the journey. Naturally we’re lazy and we seek comfort. So instead of looking at the mountain, we must fix our gaze on Christ who is our source of comfort and take the steps towards Him in the direction that he’s leading us. . The person I feel had the biggest mountain in front of them was Noah as He had to build an ark to save himself, his family, and all the animals from the flood. When I went to study about him, his journey began not with God giving him directions on how to build the ark, but it began with him simply walking with God. . Pray and ask God to give you wisdom as to what first step you should take today to get you closer to your big picture!
I’ve always dreamt of being a mom. I would play mommy with my dolls, envision what my child would look like, and think about what I would name my child. I was so sure I would be a mom until I got the news that most likely I would never have children. That report was like someone stabbing me in the heart. It was such indescribable pain. . I remember having a discussion with my mom about the news and I just remember being angry and I told her NO! I will not believe this and YES I will have children. These doctors do not have the last say but our God does! And from that day forward I kept saying, “I will be a mom!” Did I 100% know that to be true? No but I had faith that if God placed that dream in my heart, that he would be capable of allowing it to come to pass but also trusting Him if it didn’t. I had no control over the outcome but I had control over my feelings by believing and trusting Christ who is the author of my life. . What got me through was resting in God’s presence, God’s Word, and His promises for my life. If you’re finding yourself in a place of confusion, doubt, and feeling overworked from striving to reach that dream that’s in your heart, go to God and allow him to give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 )
Happy Anniversary Babe! . Today marks our 5 years of marriage and almost 11 years together. When we met, we were two starry-eyed kids in love and dreaming of the day we had the chance to say I DO, what our future kids would look like, and growing old together. . Our story reminds me of the movie The Notebook. Your pursuit of me, crazy love, crazy fights, sometimes crying but lots more smiling. You’re the best thing that’s happened to me and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us crazy kids (with maybe a few more grey hairs )! I love you forever and ever!
In order to see outward change, we first must experience a mindset change. The mind leads the direction of the body. . Naturally I know I lean towards being a negative person. Having negative thoughts and attitude has held me back in the past. We all know, no one enjoys being around a negative person so I knew I wanted to improve this area of my life. One step I took that has helped me in this area is becoming a fitness coach. You might wonder exactly how. . While I can be negative towards myself, I have the best outlook for others. I love encouraging and cheering others and in that process, it has taught me to be more content, joyful, and confident in myself. This only happened when I first took the steps of helping others. . My upcoming Inner Healing Camp will be including a focus on mindset. I’m excited to go through this journey with ladies who are looking to bring positive change in their lives! Not only am I helping women with nutrition, fitness, faith & mental health in this group but for a few - I will be teaching them on how to establish their own coaching business. They will start by being a part of this group and inviting their friends and families to join them in their growth journeys! “Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.” -Vincent Van Gogh . One of the biggest struggles in my life was sticking with my goals. I had such great ambition but every time I tried to do something new, I would end up failing big time and then find myself in a rut. I would tear myself down. But I later realized there was nothing wrong with me, I just needed to create small habits and have structure in my life. . When I joined my faith & fitness group and became a coach, I found the structure I needed to finally be able to achieve my goals. It was something I couldn’t do on my own but I was able to when I found support and these amazing programs! If you find yourself struggling like I was and would like to find structure and support when it comes to health and fitness, I have an amazing group that will help you! In the Inner Healing Camp, we’ll be following a structured nutrition plan and curated workouts. The hard part is already taken care of, all you would need to do is show up! . You’re one workout away from a good mood! . Investing time throughout my crazy-hectic schedule to workout has been so beneficial for me! I can tell you from chasing around a 2 year-old, doing house chores, running a business, and keeping up with my homework that all of that is a workout and I’m too tired or don’t have the time to do it because it’s true but instead of using that as an excuse, I let it be my fuel for all of the above. . Fitness not only gives me energy to keep up with my busy schedule but it also keeps me in a GOOD MOOD! Going through the motions of a busy day can be a joy sucker but having this outlet to get my heart pumping makes me feel amazing! I know my family benefits from it also! . Do you incorporate fitness into your schedule and if so, what do you do? If you don’t, would you like to?

“If you always do what’s you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” - Henry Ford . As I heard these words spoken by Henry Ford, I couldn’t help but pause. Our lives are all about choices and habits. At one time or another, we all strive to try something new and sometimes we fail and revert back to what is comfortable. But as I see it, we fail because we don’t analyze our habits. I believe our habits are the foundation of our house and is what gives us the proper stability to build up and go higher — to succeed so to speak. . One crack, one mistake in the foundation and it can send the house crashing down. The same goes with us. The moment we make a small choice to steer away from our good habits, it can send us into a spiral. . I want to encourage you today to: 1. Analyze your choices and habits. 2. Take small steps towards creating new & better habits. 3. If you’ve built a house and it came crashing down, it’s OK. Now you’re an experienced contractor! Start building again and make sure the foundation is solid!
Today I celebrate my 30th Birthday! . As I’m entering this new decade in my life, I want to share a few things I’ve learned along the way. . - Don’t stop learning and growing. Once we graduate school, we should always strive to learn new things! - Stop chasing the approval of others. If you are, most likely you aren’t be authentic to yourself. - Everyone is afraid, it’s not just you. We’re all afraid of failing, of loss, of uncertainties but some will let that fear hold them back and others run with it and succeed. Run with that fear! . Now you heard from me, I’d love to hear what you’ve learned along the way. Impart your wisdom below!

“So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart or wisdom.” -Psalm 90:12 . . Can I say that these days, my time seems to be flying! My schedule is full with drs appointments, playtime, church activities, school and homework and work. By the time I’m closing my eyes to sleep, it’s hard to even remember what I did throughout the day because it’s like a blur. With a packed schedule, it’s so easy to go through the motions but as we read the verse above, that’s not wise. . . It’s so easy to feel like we have all the time in the world but we don’t. We all have limited time and our days are counted by the Lord. When we stand before Him, He will ask of us to give an account of what we did with our time. That time between DOB - DOD is crucial. Are we making wise choices or squandering our time away? . . May our prayer today be, asking God to teach us to number our days and for the knowledge of how to use our time.
She’s my reason! . . When I started my health journey, I was 27, had a one year old and I was alwayssss exhausted. If you’re a momma, you know motherhood is tiring but when I was struggling to get off the couch to play with my daughter on the floor, I knew there was a problem. . . My sleeping pattern was non-existent, I had poor nutrition, and I completely stopped working out once my daughter was born. All of that played into my feeling of sluggishness and exhaustion. I didn’t want to be the mom that always said no because she’s tired. I wanted to be able to keep up with my daughter so I made a change and I’m so happy that I did! My daughter and my husband is the reason why I take care of myself so I can in turn be there for them! . . Check out my Insta Stories to hear more about my journey and what I changed!
How do I stay motivated to do all that I do? Everyday might look different but I do my best because of the bigger picture! . . Haven’t you noticed that it’s really easy to be lazy and easy to go with the flow of life but not so easy to motivate yourself? Anything in life worth having takes hard work and discipline ( I know, the not so sexy words that no one wants to hear ) - blood, sweat, and lots of tears. But how do we find the motivation to not give up? Knowing what you’re working for! . .
