The Utah Public Archaeology Network (UtahPAN ) is convening stakeholders from across Utah and the public-private spectrum to network and help brainstorm new solutions. The meeting is on Friday, January 24, from 9 am to noon at the Rio Grande Archives Building or online. @utah_antiquities_section
Grant applications open TODAY! Our office administers three grants: two outdoor recreation infrastructure grants (UORG and RRI ) and one children's programming grant (UCORE ). The application deadline for UORG and RRI is March 20 and the UCORE application deadline February 20! Don't delay, apply online today!
2020 Utah Outdoor Recreation Summit registration is live! This year, the conference will be held on Aug. 25 -27 at the Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo, UT. How are you resolving to be active outdoors in 2020? The Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant helps make access to outdoor winter recreation easier! One UORG project from 2018 expanded Ogden Nordic's winter trail system in Weber County's North Fork Park to develop a dedicated fat bike/snowshoe trail network. If your community is interested in applying for the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant, mark your calendars for the January 15 application opening date.

"Utah's Office of Outdoor Recreation has had an exciting and busy year! ➡️ We spent a day on the hill highlighting Outdoor Recreation. ➡️ We welcomed the RVX Show to Salt Lake. ➡️ We supported the creation of the Utah Outdoor Association. ➡️ We launched Utah's Every Kid Outdoors Initiative. ➡️ We launched the Recreation Restoration Infrastructure (RRI ) Grant and the Utah Children's Outdoor Recreation and Education (UCORE ) Grant. ➡️ We helped launch the USU Master Trails Program at the 2019 Outdoor Recreation Summit, and helped launch the NGA's Outdoor Recreation Learning Network. ➡️ We helped begin the first-ever, Avalanche Awareness Week!
