|Artist Spotlight| Mark Stein @steinbydesign -------------------------------------------------------------------------My drawings are an expression of thought and emotion combined. Where words fail to describe I navigate and express via the neo traditional tattoo style with blended undertones of surf/skate/street styling to create my individual theme. Some regard my techniques as old school yet authentic and this allows a connected, in sync attachment to my visions and my clients commissions. Every piece has purpose and intent and for the time I am involved in the creation is time that I am free. I am free of distraction and limitless in my desire. During those moments of being free and entering flow state my drawings create and contribute rather than produce and profit. STAY TRUE - STAY SHARP - STAY GOLDEN Such a legend- thanks for all the talent you donated. Can't wait for people to see all your awesome work on Friday night 👏👏 https://m.facebook.com/steinbydesign/

|Artist Spotlight| Andie McGovern @andie_mcgovern -----------------------------------------------I am a child of the nineties and like many kids of that era I loved watching TV before and after school, I also listened to a lot of music. Up until now, that exposure has influenced many of my works as I produce illustrations, paintings, sculpture, assemblage and installations inspired by subject matters explored within nostalgic pop culture. I also have a passion for re-purposing objects such as obsolete technology to enhance the sentimental narrative within my works. Over the past 3 years, I have been a finalist in the National Tom Bass figurative sculpture prize and participated in many exhibitions including shows in New York, USA and Dublin, Ireland.
|Artist Spotlight| Jaqui G @jacquigart ——————————————————————————- My paintings are vibrant, diverse in subject, full of movement and project my emotion at the time. Just like a songwriter I am not able to paint the same over and over I am inspired by different colour palettes, odd brushes, recyclable tools, inventive processes, playing with mediums and tapping into an inner knowing of what may come. The atmosphere in which I enjoy to paint is reclusive, I tune into the solitude although mostly absolute silence there can be classical music or chill out tunes wafting through my studio. Jaqui has a style unlike no other and we cant believe how lucky we are to have her onboard ❤

|Artist Spotlight| Golia Paymani @mandartshop ——————————————————————————— I was born in the capital city of Iran (Tehran ) in 1979. In 1992 I attended the Visual Art School of Tehran, where I studied life drawing, oil painting, visual art and graphic arts; I gained a Diploma in Graphic Arts. In 1996 I proceeded to attend the Azad University of Tehran, and completed my Bachelor of Graphic Arts in the year 2000. My life journey then took me to Canada, and in Toronto, once again I continued my studies in Graphic Design. In 2006, I completed my Diploma in Graphic Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Toronto. In Toronto, I updated my qualifications by learning modern computer skills, building upon my old school hand skills, including extensive use of Adobe Creative Suite. After getting married, my husband and I moved to Mandurah in Western Australia. 2008 presented the opportunity for my first job in Western Australia as a graphic artist, and since then I have been working for a few companies in Mandurah. In 2010 I extended my work as an artist and started working from my home office and studio. Inspiration for me can pop up at any time and in any place. I don’t stick to one subject area, preferring to vary my projects and media. My work is primarily the result of my need to paint, draw and illustrate; it is both a challenge and an outlet; a discipline and a passion. She spent many school holidays helping him on signwriting jobs and was often found working in his shop rather than doing homework! In 1980, at the age of 20, Liane became one of very few female signwriting apprentices in Australia at her father’s business, Barker Signs. She was awarded the highest honour of Top Apprentice for Queensland from TAFE Queensland in 1982.It was during this time Liane learnt the foundational skills of both signwriting and business, which has afforded her a lifelong career in signage and design. At 24, she started her own traditional signwriting and design business in a small Australian country town in northern NSW, producing hand painted signage on roadside hoardings, large walls, and vehicles, as well as glass gilding and business shop fronts. |Artist Spotlight| James aka Fixit Fingers @fixitfingers ————————————————————— I'm a self-taught woodworker from Sydney who got into the hobby as a means of creating something with my hands as opposed to my regular work as a scientist in which I am mostly using my head. Most of what I make is for myself and usually very practical in nature, but when invited to join the cause as one of the Aussie Maker contingent contributing to this appeal I couldn't say no and pulled on the "Artist" boots for the first time. "Gumfire" is reclaimed Red Gum from my grandfather's shed and Spotted Gum salvaged from the scrap bin of a friend's recent cafe build. The wood has been sculpted into a eucalyptus leaf and gum nut design ubiquitous with the Australian bush. The leaves have then been given a light shou sugi ban char reminiscent of the damage from the bushfires and the gum nuts then highlighted with a colourful resin inlay representing the regeneration that will follow the flames. James can be found on his YouTube channel, Instagram & Facebook. He has documented the whole build process for "Gumfire" and there will be a 'making of' video hopefully released just before the auction where people can see it come to life start to finish. James is an extremely talented woodworker and has dedicated his time for a special cause and well fitting themed piece and we can wait to see the finished product just in time for our Brisbane event with 100% of proceeds donated to WIRES and Wildlife Victoria conservation charities. www.youtube.com/c/FixitFingers www.instagram.com/fixitfingers www.facebook.com/fixitfingers Https://facebook.com/events/s/art-exhibition-bushfire-fundra/1339272356256796/?ti=ia
