Growth takes time. It can be frustrating when you’re putting in the work and not seeing the results you want yet. I’ve been eating in a surplus and pushing myself in training, yet I haven’t doubled in muscle mass 🤷🏽♀️ (joking ). But when I look like at where I was a few years ago, I know I’ve come a long way and will get to where I want to be if I keep after it. i feel like it was friday like 5 minutes ago.... let monday set the tone for your week.. i pressed snooze for an hour and a half this morning and took it to the LAST possible minute before knowing if i pressed it once more then i wouldnt be able to fit in my workout.. 😬 rolled out of bed, walked to my gym (dining room 🤣 ), and got in an efficient abs, arms, and 🍑workout before heading to the office 💪🏽 there was a time that DEF would not have happened... but when a workout is THAT convenient.. what excuse can i really use?? 💁🏼♀️ feeling empowered for the Monday ahead!! 💃🏼 can you say the same??

1 year ago vs today (well yesterday ). Sometimes we hit rough patches and forget how far we’ve come. Last February was my 3rd year drinking two meal shakes a day. Keeping my dinner at 400-600 cals and my snacks at 100-150 cals. My THIRD year of this y’all. Not to mention, I would get major food guilt. If I ate terrible or had a bad day I would feel so guilty and get so down on myself. I have nothing bad to say about the meal shakes. However, my body was 100% used to them and this system. I lost the baby weight and yes change was s l o w l y happening, but my body comp was not really where I wanted it to be. I was still working out 4-6 days a week. A month after this first pic was taken I knew I needed some change and more accountability than what I had. That’s when I called @theflexible .dieting.coach! I honestly in year am not down on the scale a ton of weight or anything. Maybe 4-5lbs difference in change here. The scale should NOT be your end all be all. Macro counting has really helped us grow and our mindset with food so much. I have such a better relationship with food than I ever have. I love that I’m not restricting foods or calories ALL the time. I’m eating so much more and my body is changing so much. I forget how much it’s changed until I go back and look! There have been moments that I thought I was on the upswing... but 90% of my attitude over the past 7 days has been 👎👎👎. . I am usually better at snapping myself out of it... but this time I had to call on the recruits 😂!! . I posted about how I was feeling in my 𝕧𝕚𝕣𝕥𝕦𝕒𝕝 𝕗𝕚𝕥𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕨𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕤 𝕤𝕦𝕡𝕡𝕠𝕣𝕥 𝕘𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕡 ... and just like I knew they would, my ladies showed up with kindness, encouragement, & understanding. . You see, I’ve seen them struggle and helped them out of their own funks in the past... so I KNEW they’d understand me, support me, and help hold me accountable to my goals. . I NEVER had that level of support in fitness or emotional wellness before I joined these streaming workouts and accountability groups. Also, it’s sometimes easier for me to share my struggle with the ladies in that group, versus the people I see in person every day. It might seem odd to you... but the thing is, 𝕨𝕖 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕘𝕠𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕘𝕣𝕠𝕨𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕙𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕔𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕠𝕗 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖 𝕋𝕆𝔾𝔼𝕋ℍ𝔼ℝ. . There is something comforting and powerful about that. . ZUCHINNI PUMPKIN OAT CAKE #ZPO @katiecrokus . . Cake that helps me hit my protein goals = win!!! . I dont know what I would do without this cake every day 😍 Katie is a genius with high protein, low fat recipes, go follow her! . I've got a serious sweet tooth and this crushes my cravings in the afternoons 🍰 . Here's the recipe - if you dont have a food scale I included measurements too. This recipe is super lenient, so dont worry too much about being exact! . Ingredients 4 medium (600g ) zuchinni shredded (I'm extra and puree mine for smoothness but not required ) 1 15oz can pumpkin 1 small carton egg whites (436g ) 1 cup water 2.5 cups quick oats (200g ) 2.5 scoops (75g ) @pescience cake pop protein powder 2 tbsp (12g ) Jell-O sugar free cheesecake pudding powder 3 tsp baking powder 3 tbsp @swervesweetie sugar substitute 3 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1/2 tsp nutmeg . Mix all ingredients together and pour into 9x13 baking pan (use parchment paper for easy clean up 👌 ) and bake at 350 for 1 hour! . You can customize this in so many ways - try chocolate protein powder and Jell-O mix 🍫 Or vanilla and butterscotch This week instead of 1 cup water I used 1 cup of coffee ☕ . I weigh the entire recipe then divide it into 8 pieces and weigh each piece. In MFP I enter the total weight (mine was 1871g ) as the number of servings and then each day I enter the number of grams of my piece as the number of servings I ate. . Macros for 1/8 of the cake (235g ) 203 cals 28C 2F 18P . The cake itself isnt super sweet so I top with icing or whipped cream and chocolate drizzles . For the icing I make: Mix 30g non-fat greek yogurt with 10g cake pop protein powder and 2g swerve sweetener. It will seem reallllly dry at first but keep mixing and it whips right up! . My programs have involved circuits, high impact exercises, shorter tests, you name it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But with increased intensity, there must be an increase in recovery. Without it, it’s only a matter of time before compensation patterns takeover and an injury happens. 👎🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I went to see Rui at @stretch_health_canada earlier this week and when he asked me what I wanted to work on, I used the word ‘trash’ to describe just about everything I was feeling. Full recipe below. 🍪 If you want more protein cookie recipes, just give “masonfit cookies” a Google. ⠀ * 2 scoops (62g ) @pescience Vanilla Protein Powder * 1/4 C (30g ) All Purpose Flour (or equal parts Almond Flour ) * 1/4 C (48g ) @swervesweetie Brown Sugar * 1/2 tsp Baking Powder * 6 Tbsp (99g ) Creamy Peanut Butter * 1/4 C (60g ) Unsweetened Apple Sauce * 2 tsp Vanilla Extract * 2 Tbsp (28g ) White Chocolate Chips 1. Preheat oven to 350F. 2. Mix the dry ingredients, making sure to break any brown sugar lumps down, before adding the peanut butter, apple sauce, and vanilla extract. Stir until a dough begins to form. 3. Fold the chocolate chips into the dough. 4. Divide the dough into 8 pieces and press each between your palms to flatten. (Spray your hands with cooking spray to prevent sticking. ) Place the cookies on the baking sheet. 5. Bake for 6-8 minutes until the bottoms begin to slightly brown around the edges and the tops are still slightly soft in the center. Ansonsten grau, windig und immer wieder Regen, nicht gerade ein Wetter was man sich an einem freien Sonntag wünscht, aber egal... entspannten Abend dann mal noch ✌️. 🔺Untergrund ist von @foodyboard 🔺 _________________________________________________ ➡ 400g geschälte Kartoffel kochen (nicht zu weich ), ➡ abdampfen lassen, ➡ in Scheiben schneiden und anbraten, ➡ gegen Ende Rote Zwiebel dazugeben und anschwitzen, ➡ mit Smoky BBQ von @spice_bar würzen und frische Petersilie dazugeben. ➖ ➡ eine Rote Zwiebel anschwitzen, ➡ 4 TL Honig dazugeben und karamellisieren lassen, ➡ 2TL Apfelessig und 2TL Worcester Sauce dazugeben, ➡ eine Knoblauchzehe dazugeben, ➡ 200g passierte Tomaten dazugeben, ➡ mit Rauchiger Drecksau von @spice_bar und ggf Salz würzen, ➡ eine Dosen abgespülte Kichererbsen (240g ) dazugeben, ➡ bei 200° Umluft in den Ofen geben und backen bis es schön eingedickt ist (ca 30 Minuten ).
