The Herz Jesu Kirche (Church of the Sacred Heart ) in Munich is a very interesting example of contemporary ecclesiastical architecture. Mainly the cube-like structure consists of an outer and an inner cube, which are not connected to another. The outer cube is clad in glass and features a blue front with a giant Portal. For the inner cube maple wood was used on big parts. Here's a view down the nave of the church. The marble block in the middle is the holy water font of the church.
